Last day to file complaint of alleged election law violation for the November election. (If violation occurred after the election, deadline is 90 days after date of violation.)

Last day for districts to return district board member updates for May election

February 7
Last day for county clerk to publish/mail notice of district board election for May election.
First day for district candidate to file declaration of candidacy or nominating petition for May election.

February 8
Last day for county clerk to complete establishment and division of precincts for March election.
Last day before March election for county clerk to establish official dropsite locations for ballot deposit.

February 9
First day to mail ballots for March election to electors with a mailing address outside this state who are not long term absent electors.

Last day to register to vote for March election. Registration cards that are postmarked by this date are valid registrations for March election.

February 18
First day to mail ballots to electors without daily mail service for March election.

March 3
Last day to conduct public certification test of vote tally system for March election.
County clerk may begin opening return identification and secrecy envelopes for March election.

Last day for requirement to mail absentee or replacement ballots for March election.

Official dropsites open 8 hours or more and until 8PM for depositing cast ballots. County Clerks office open 7AM - 8PM for issuing and depositing ballots.

County clerk must repeat public certification test of vote tally system.
Seven day campaign finance transaction reporting ends for March election.

Last day for Secretary of State to complete random ordering of alphabet to determine placement of candidate names on May election ballot.

March 12
Last day for Secretary of State to mail or deliver to county clerks a copy of the random ordering of the alphabet for May election ballot.

March 18
Last day for county clerk to forward any March election ballots voted by electors registered in another county.
Last day for Secretary of State to forward any March election ballots voted by long term absent electors to the county in which the elector who cast the ballot is registered.

March 19
Last day for governing body of electoral district with measure on May election ballot to submit explanatory statement if county will publish a voters’ pamphlet.
Last day before May election to inactivate voters for non-voting or failure to update.
Last day for city elections official, county governing body or district elections authority to give notice of measure election to county clerk for May election.
