Circulator Training for Initiative, Referendum and Recall Petitions
The 2007 Legislature passed HB 2082, making significant changes to the petition process including a requirement that paid circulators complete an on-line training program and register with the Secretary of State prior to circulating any initiative, referendum or recall petition. Paid circulators may begin the registration process by completing the training program below and filing the required forms. A paid circulator may not gather any signatures on or after January 1, 2008, unless they have successfully registered with the Secretary of State.
