I served for nearly 29 years as a Medford police officer. I have worked hard for six years as a member of the Medford School Board. I have volunteered in many other capacities in our community. As your citizen legislator in Salem I promise to continue to always work hard for you. My accountability is to you and the other citizens of my district, not special interests and caucuses in Salem.

There are several high priority items that need immediate attention and collaborative efforts by our legislators. The bitter partisan and hostile atmosphere in the Legislature is impeding the work of state government. Effective state government is based on bi-partisan cooperation and compromise. That is the first order of business as we face the other serious issues including adequate, fair and stable school funding; affordable health care for all Oregonians and public safety.
