Dear Neighbor:
As the mother of a soon-to-be teen daughter and as a lifelong advocate for women's health, I oppose Measure 43. It is unnecessary: the rate of abortions has declined steadily because Oregon makes family planning available to all patients. Prevention works better than punishment. It is unsafe: its fine print rules actually endanger the lives of Oregon's young women and threaten the livelihood of family doctors. It won't help the teens who most need help. Please join me in voting NO on 43.
