Phil feels that his generation should be able to pass these same opportunities onto the next generation. The love of the outdoors is what brought Phil to Oregon. As an avid skier, hiker, and whitewater rafter, protecting and conserving the environment is an important priority.

Phil believes the following are the top priorities for Oregon:

Restoring bi-partisan cooperation and standing up to special interest groups would lead us to solving the never ending K through 12 and Higher Education funding crisis in Oregon; Schools that have the funding necessary to provide a world class education for our children; Schools that work with parents to make sure dollars are spent on our children and not on bureaucracy; Investments in Higher Education would prepare our children for the 21st century economy. Stable School Funding and Fair Taxation equal Jobs for Oregon.

Oregon must lower Health Care and Prescription Costs for our seniors and working families. We need investments in Oregon that create more family wage jobs for our workers. Investments in new technology for cleaner air and water would reduce Oregon's dependence on foreign oil. The legislature must Reign in pay day lenders who are preying on Oregon's most vulnerable families.

The House Leadership has failed Oregonians for the past 16 years. It's time for a change!
