As director of a non-profit and a former businessperson, Scott knows what Washington has forgotten-if you can't cover a check, don't write it. More importantly, like good business, good government requires honest and direct communication with its clients. Oregonians know that Scott will always do what he says he will, and always act in the best interest of Oregonians first.
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, SECURE OUR PORTS, AND PROTECT OUR HOMELAND
Scott believes that committing troops to battle is the last option. If we do so, it must be with clear goals and the best equipment possible. Upon our troops return, we must honor their service by ensuring that they receive excellent health care and access to opportunity. We must also improve our preparedness to respond to potential terrorist threats and natural disasters without compromising our freedom and Constitutional rights.

Government policies have placed our industries at an unfair disadvantage. Oregon's workers have a right to pursue and attain the 'American Dream' through good jobs at good wages. Scott will work to ensure that government is responsive to the needs of all Oregonians, not just the wants of corporate interests.
