LEON COLAS - AN EXPERIENCED JUDGE
Currently a full-time judge pro tem in Multnomah County Circuit Court presiding over every phase of jury trials, from pre-trial matters to jury selection to sentencing; Felony and misdemeanor arraignments, pre-trial release hearings, extradition cases, DUII diversion hearings, stalking trials, landlord-tenant cases, small claims trials, and traffic and violation arraignments and trials. Helped develop the Uniform Criminal Judgment form for misdemeanor sentencing.
As a municipal court judge for nearly 12 years, handled city ordinance violations and traffic cases; As the McMinnville Municipal Court Judge presided over jury trials on DUII cases, DUII diversion hearings and court trials in other criminal and traffic cases; Completed the New Judge Seminar for new circuit court judges while a municipal court judge.
