JOSH MARQUIS has served for more than 12 years as Clatsop County's top prosecutor. He has personally tried scores of jury trials, including almost every homicide trial brought in Clatsop County since 1994.
JOSH MARQUIS is recognized as a leader in his profession. In 2001 he was elected President of the Oregon District Attorneys Association. In 1997 he was elected by Oregon's district attorneys to represent our state on the Board of Directors of the National District Attorneys Association. He was re-elected to that post until 2005 when the national organization elected him as a Vice President.
JOSH MARQUIS was honored in 2003 as "DUII Prosecutor of the Year" for Oregon and in that same year was recognized by Oregon's Attorney General for "outstanding contributions to serving crime victims." Josh is considered an honest and straight-talking public official.
JOSH MARQUIS is committed to Clatsop County. He and his wife, Cindy Price, are active in the north coast community and own a home in Astoria. Josh is a Paul Harris Fellow and has been a member of the Astoria Rotary Clubs for over 12 years, was a founding board member of the Lighthouse Child Abuse Assessment Center and has been in the cast of "Shanghaied in Astoria" for 12 consecutive years.
