Sal Esquivel is a voice for Southern Oregon with common and simplistic answers to budgetary matters. We must live within our means in today's economic uncertainty.

Money to the classroom is top priority - Sal believes that education is our best investment for our future. We should provide ample education funding to teach those who wish to learn. Sal was on the team that saved Head Start, and he worked in a bipartisan fashion to help the funding of the new SOU/RCC education center.

Helping seniors has been Sal's focus in the past few years. He is active on the Medford Senior Center Board and was helpful in obtaining funding for the Senior Center through grants. He was part of the team that saved Project Independence.

Sal will fight for victim's rights and tighten sentencing for repeat offenders. He supports more State Police on our roads and was instrumental in getting a new Circuit Court Judge position in Southern Oregon and funding of the new children's crisis Relief Nursery, providing services to families with young children at risk of abuse or neglect. Sal also helped to purchase protected woodlands in Jacksonville.

Sal is past Vice President and President of SOREDI and firmly believes in family wage jobs for our community. Sal, with other Southern Oregon legislators, helped to create health insurance savings for small business through chambers of commerce.
