  • MARGARET CARTER is committed to protecting the vital human services for the most vulnerable Oregonians – the ill, disabled, poor, and elderly:those least able to care for themselves

  • MARGARET CARTER is working for economic stability, affordable homeownership for low-moderate income families in North-NE Portland and to prohibit discrimination (HB 2379)

  • MARGARET CARTER was the driving force to establish the Jobs Skills Center for North-Northeast Portland to improve industrial workforce training and to set-up Advanced Technology Centers

  • MARGARET CARTER was pivotal in securing General Funds to counter gang activity, for drug intervention/diversion:supports community and parent initiatives to stop violence

  • MARGARET CARTER is working with Willamette Riverkeeper and citizens of St. John’s, University Park and Cathedral Park to enhance the riverfront, to secure citizen input, and to uphold the integrity of the Superfund and Willamette River Cleanup Authority
