Occupational Background:Chuck grew up on a farm. He enlisted in the U. S. Air Force where he became expert in Russian, cartography, and programming. He worked as a programmer/analyst for numerous organizations including Southern Illinois University, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Santa Barbara County, Blue Cross of Oregon, and First Interstate Bank of Oregon, where he was the lead analyst for general ledger and checking account systems. Most recently he has owned his own consulting company and helped businesses including Freightliner, PGE, US Bank, and many other large and small companies run effectively and

Stable funding for a quality education program prepares our youth for the future and attracts employers to our community.
Investing in prevention and rapid intervention on health problems saves lives and decreases costs that are ultimately passed on to all of us.
We must attract and keep employers who are willing to provide living wage jobs to the members of our community.
My background as a proven problem solver will enable me to create a more efficient state government.
