Prior Governmental Experience: None.

As Circuit Court Judge, I will bring diverse life experience, maturity, and my extensive courtroom practice to the bench. I have learned that preparedness, attention to detail, conscientiousness, and strength of conviction that the law should be accurately applied to all persons is the surest way for justice to be rendered fairly. These principles guide my work.

My father was a naval officer. Attending school all over the United States gave me an unusually broad education and experience with many ethnic groups and nationalities. I have been both a full-time parent and a working single parent. Driving a taxi and teaching motorcycle safety taught me to work with all different kinds of people.

I have loved Pendleton since coming here with my children in the 1980s. I moved here permanently in 2000, met my husband in his fly fishing shop soon afterward, and now we own a small farm on the Walla Walla River, raising ponies and produce.

My practice has always involved the courtroom. Meticulous preparation is essential. I have tried criminal, divorce, juvenile, traffic, and other matters. As a legal secretary, I also worked on intensive litigation, insurance defense, employment, corporate, business, and other civil work.

I strive to be fair and extremely conscientious, because every person before the court deserves the unbiased and careful application of the law. Umatilla and Morrow Counties deserve a hard-working judge with a great deal of current courtroom experience. I have these qualifications
