LEGISLATIVE PRINCIPLES
- Strengthening Oregons Schools. Allocate Oregons resources to ensure that Oregon invests appropriately in high quality K-16 educational choices for Oregons youth. Provide our students with the opportunities to acquire skills to compete in the global economy.
- Promoting Jobs and the Economy. Promote sustainable growth and employment opportunities in family-wage jobs for rural Oregon communities. Ensure Oregon families the right to live and work in safe and healthy communities.
- Protecting Oregons Taxpayers. Identify long-term and stable funding sources to provide for Oregons General Fund activities. Require state government to be accountable and sensitive to Oregons business climate. Enhance agency reporting of the use of these public resources. Require state agencies to be responsive to Oregons business and employment communities.
