House Task Force on Land Use and the Joint Committee on Transportation, Trade
and Economic Development. He serves on the Council of State Governments

We did accomplish significant goals in the 2003 session: PERS reform; funds
to repair failing bridges; reduction of state employees; improved agency efficiency
with greater consumer satisfaction and helping rural doctors obtain malpractice
insurance.
District 55 needs a representative in Salem who can get things done, and I believe
Im that person. We have critical issues that face us, especially in land
use reform. My goal is to get local control back into the land use planning
process.
Other issues that need attention include job creation; public school funding;
public safety; and care for our seniors in need. I want the
people of District 55 to know I am in Salem to help them.
Gilman is a lifelong Oregon resident. He and his wife
Sandy have two children and two grandchildren. Currently they raise feeder cattle
and his volunteer activities include being a Key Communicator for Eagle Point
School District 9 and Quail Point Rotary Program Chair.
