Oregon’s state budget has soared out of control over the past decade. Jay will demand that state agencies and their special interest groups be accountable to the Oregon taxpayer to produce measurable results.

Jay opposed Measure 30 and believes state government must live within the existing budget. Jay believes that giving more money to state government is not the answer, and will oppose new tax increase proposals.

As a businessman himself, Jay understands we must attract new business and keep our existing businesses strong and competitive to ensure their long-term presence. Jay will preserve stable family wage jobs by working to eliminate unnecessary regulatory red-tape and reduce burdensome taxation while encouraging small and large business growth.
