VICKI BERGER
Protecting Family Budgets
Vicki understands how Oregon families are feeling squeezed by the current recession. That's why she opposed income tax increases that would have hurt our economy and a new tax on health insurance premiums. She also worked to keep state government focused on creating private sector jobs, not more strangling regulations.

Keeping Our Families Safe
Vicki fought for more state troopers on our roads and highways and to create mandatory minimum sentences for sex offenders and pedophiles. She also helped pass legislation to crack down on crime and identity theft by requiring proof of legal residency for those seeking driver's licenses. Last year she sponsored legislation making it easier for rape victims to seek justice and tougher penalties for criminals who murder pregnant women.
