SCOTT BRUUN FOR U.S. CONGRESS
JOBS & ECONOMIC GROWTH
Scott Bruun will work in Congress to create a better environment for private-sector job creation. This starts with bottom up empowerment of American families, workers, small businesses and job creators. It means lowering and simplifying taxes, reducing regulatory red-tape, and expanding trade opportunities for Oregon's agriculture, forest product and traded sectors.
FREE-MARKET HEALTH CARE SOLUTIONS
Scott Bruun supports free-market reforms and is staunchly opposed to efforts to nationalize health care. Scott supports reforms that allow individuals to deduct health insurance premiums, allow purchase of health plans across state lines, create block grants and high-risk pools to help people with pre-existing conditions, and promote medical liability reform to stop frivolous lawsuits.
Scott Bruun will work to reduce spending, balance the budget and reduce debt. He will work for deficit reduction by fighting against out of control spending and special interest earmarks that have become hallmarks of Congress. Economic growth and budget discipline are critical.
Scott Bruun will work to reduce dependence on foreign oil by supporting American-based alternatives. Scott supports common sense conservation, but opposes national 'Cap & Trade' legislation, which would increase energy costs for all Americans while exporting millions of our jobs.
"We can count on Scott Bruun to be a voice of fiscal restraint and economic renewal as our Congressman."
State Representative Kevin Cameron, Salem
