Because politics as usual isn't working for us.
NOT A POLITICIAN.
Toby Forsberg has never been a legislator. He doesn't owe anything to special interests or lobbyists. He's a community leader with new ideas. He's a native Oregonian and former small business owner. He's a neighbor, husband and father of a young son.
NOW, MORE THAN EVER, WE NEED FRESH IDEAS AND
- Sharply focused on jobs: We need a Representative who will make our economic recovery his number one job. Toby will focus on helping Oregon's small and mid-size businesses survive and grow. He will lead efforts to expand loans for smaller companies and support incentives for these businesses to create new jobs here now.
- Take on the big banks: Big banks and lenders were bailed out by taxpayers. Now, those same banks are turning their backs on too many homeowners. Toby supports holding banks and lenders more accountable to us and strengthening laws to protect homeowners and consumers.
- Make government accountable: We can't keep asking taxpayers to give more. We have to demand that government does a better job with the money it already has. Toby will use his business skills to develop new ways to make state agencies more accountable and transparent. He will push for tougher state audits. He'll support smart laws to improve oversight of state contracts and put the information online.
"Divisive partisan politics has failed. I'll listen to any good idea-Democrat or Republican- that will create jobs and protect middle class families." -Toby Forsberg
