    Educational Background: State certified and trained in Basic; Intermediate and Advanced Police and Corrections; National Sheriff's Institute Management and Executive training; over 2000 hours training in Law Enforcement; Corrections and Management.

    Prior Governmental Experience: Coquille City Council; American Red Cross Board Member; Coos County Commission on Family and Children; Coquille Library Board; Human Rights Coalition; President Myrtle Point Rotary; Coquille Lions; Leadership Coos; Board Member Oregon State Sheriff's Association.

    I am asking for your support in electing me to the office of Coos County Commissioner, Position 3. Good local government is vital to the health and well- being of our community. I have lived and worked in Coos County long enough to raise my children, be an active member of the community, serving as your Sheriff for three terms. It is imperative to have a knowledgeable, experienced person with proven leadership skills, quality personal skills, to serve and represent you, the citizens of Coos County.

    I support open government and prudent use of your tax dollars and as Commissioner, I will work to provide a community where families can work, play and feel safe. I support public safety, jail for incarceration, safe roads and community health. I will listen to your voices in not just making good choices, but also doing the right things for the right reasons. You already know my capabilities as an elected official and the job I have performed.
