Occupation: Deputy Sheriff - Lake County Oregon
Occupational Background: Nine years active and reserve military, including background with the US Army Military Police, US Army Legal Specialist, and US Air Force Intelligence. Previous experience as a private security manager included varying responsibilities for hiring, scheduling, payroll and recruiting new accounts for several hundred employees. I have more than a decade of experience with the Lake County Sheriff's Office. My total law enforcement background has included investigation management, specialty assignments, and employee supervision. As a Deputy Sheriff I have significant experience investigating crimes against property and crimes against persons. This includes the search for a suspect, his arrest, and preparation of the case and evidence for trial. I have advanced computer skills in word processing, financial spreadsheets, graphics preparation, and information databases. With also the ability to construct websites, I have designed programs and procedures to manage police officer's work products, maintain budget accountability, and to provide officers and the public alike ways to obtain information and assistance.
Educational Background: I am a high school graduate with a year of college. My challenge of the military Dantes education program offered more than an additional year of college equivalency. I graduated from the Oregon Police Academy and the Career Officer Development Course. My military schools include the Army Military Police School in Fort Gordon Georgia; Army Legal Specialist School at Fort Harrison, Indiana; and Air Force Intelligence at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas.
