Standing Up For Consumers
As Vice-Chair of the Consumer Protection Committee, Suzanne led the effort to end foreclosure rescue scams and helped pass new protections for victims of identity theft.
Improving Public Education
A Beaverton School District parent, Suzanne is committed to strong public schools, pre-K through college. She helped expand Head Start and increase funding for K-12 schools and higher education. Suzanne also sponsored legislation to increase civics education and to provide funding for capital construction.
Better Access to Health Care
Suzanne supported legislation to help small businesses offer lower cost health insurance and helped pass The Healthy Oregon Act to develop a comprehensive plan to improve health care.
Cleaner, Safer Communities
Suzanne has a 100% rating from the Oregon League of Conservation Voters, and she is leading efforts to reduce pesticide use. She helped add more State Troopers and as a member of the Judiciary Committee, Suzanne plays a key role in passing laws to fight crime.
