Awards: National Senior Citizens Hall of Fame; Oregon Law Enforcement Appreciation of Support, Oregon State Sheriffs' Association; Protector of Medicare, Senior Coalition; NCRD Congressional Award, The American Association of Community Colleges; Guardian of Small Business, National Federation of Independent Business; Friend of Farm Bureau, American Farm Bureau; Tax Fighter Award, The National Tax-Limitation Committee; Alumni Achievement Award, Northwest Nazarene College.

Education: Jim Bunn worked hard to equalize school funding, making sure that metro area schools would not short change Yamhill County students.

Taxes: Jim Bunn has a clear and consistent record of opposing tax increases. Jim believes that state government must learn to live within its means, just like the rest of us.

Public Safety: Beginning in 1984, Jim Bunn volunteered as a Reserve Deputy in Yamhill County. In the years since, he has volunteered his time on road patrol, river patrol, the jail, search and rescue and today serves full-time as a Deputy Sheriff. Jim is a training officer and hostage negotiator. Jim has dedicated his life to making Yamhill County a safer place to live.
