Dear Fellow Citizen,
It is with great honor that I ask for your vote for State Representative House District 37. My desire to represent you stems from my experience as a city councilor and an executive director and from my passion for community service.
As a city councilor, I know education, land use and transportation are priorities for maintaining our quality of life in Oregon. I have been able to affect change in the city of West Linn, but many solutions are controlled by State decisions. I want to bring your concerns to our legislature and solve problems at the State level.
As an executive director for a domestic violence social service agency, I have first hand knowledge of the demand on non-profit agencies to provide health care, housing, and mental health services to our community. I know how to operate a business within a budget while providing quality services. I can bring this knowledge to Salem where decision making and policy setting occur.
As a citizen of Oregon, I believe that we must have quality employers providing a livable wage, that we must maintain the natural beauty of Oregon for future generations, and that we must make healthy living accessible for all Oregonians.
I would be honored to serve as your House District 37 Representative. I ask for your support and vote on May 20, 2008.
