Statement:

I have been privileged to serve as a judge in Crook and Jefferson Counties since 1979. I have served as your Presiding Judge since 1990 by appointment of the Chief Justice of the Oregon Supreme Court. In this leadership role I have helped develop many important services including mediation (small claims, evictions, and domestic relations), drug court, peer court, work crew programs and guided two successful political efforts for new judgeships. As we fold in the significant caseload impact of Deer Ridge Correctional Facility and move into a period marked by a significant expansion of the computer services available to the public from the courts, my experience and leadership will be critical.

I believe judicial services must be fair, timely and governed by the law. I believe criminals must be held accountable for criminal behavior. Your vote for me will help assure my leadership and values will continue to serve you and our communities.
