Richard Riggs: Focusing on Our Priorities

Improving Public Education

Rich will work for stable school funding, smaller class sizes, better training and retention of our teachers, and more vocational and technical training in our community colleges and high schools.

Ensuring Tax Fairness

Rich thinks working class Oregonians shouldn't pay for tax loopholes that benefit special interests, and that the 70 year old, $10 corporate minimum tax—the price of two lattes—is wrong for Oregon. Rich will close tax loopholes for special interests and make large out-of-state corporations pay their fair share, and not leave the rest of us to pick up the tab.

Protecting our Quality of Life

Rich is a Native Oregonian and lifelong outdoorsman, and he will fight to protect our environment, preserve open spaces, and repair our existing roads and highways. Let's leave a better Oregon to our children.
