Chris Telfer
A Voice of Reason. Our Voice in Salem.

Our state and region face many challenges. Clear priorities must be set to ensure that we have an accountable government, a stronger economy, and safer communities. That's why, we need Chris Telfer as our voice in Salem.

Supporting Local Teachers and Students

National surveys rank Oregon near the bottom of all states in ongoing teacher training. Chris will ensure our children get the best possible education by strengthening training standards. She will also advocate for new accountability measures to increase the proportion of tax money spent on teachers, textbooks, and technology in local classrooms.

Controlling Our Health Care Costs

Chris is working with local physicians, hospitals, employers, and insurers to control health care costs and provide basic healthcare for uninsured and under-insured families here in Central Oregon.

Improving Our Quality of Life

Chris thinks a higher proportion of our gas taxes should be spent on local highway projects. She will push the state to fund critical road projects that ease congestion. Additionally, she will advocate for updating our land use planning laws to protect our local quality of life.

Creating Safer Communities

Families impacted every day by crime associated with meth addiction. Chris will ensure repeat offenders are put behind bars and make treatment a higher priority in our jails and prisons.
