Prior Governmental Experience: Lebanon City Councilor, Chairman of Lebanon Budget Committee, Linn County Planning Commission, Lebanon Planning Commission, Director of Linn County Soil and Water District, President of Linn County Farm Bureau, Lebanon Transportation Committee.

Civic Activities: Oregon Small Woodlands Association, Sons of the American Legion, National Rifle Assoc.

Dan understands the importance of education. He knows that a quality education is essential. It is the key to better jobs and a higher quality of life. Dan will fight to keep taxpayer money in our classrooms, educating our kids.

Dan believes we need a renewed infrastructure.
Deteriorating roads and bridges threaten healthy communities. Dan has the experience and knowledge to produce results in Salem on this important issue.

Dan understands the need for economic development.
Dan knows that continued dependence on foreign oil jeopardizes our future. He will lead the fight to make Oregon a leader in alternative fuels. This will also mean many new family wage jobs, and keep our economy strong.

Dan Thackaberry is a hard-working leader with a long and unbroken career of public service. The issues faced by our district are diverse. Dan's experience, wisdom, dedication and work ethic are the qualities needed to bridge the urban and rural communities of our district.
