Set goals. Plan. Measure. Repeat

Dear Neighbors,

I am writing to ask for your vote for State Representative. My desire to serve you comes from my frustration with our inability to solve long term problems that the state faces.

In my ten-year UPS career, I have learned the importance of planning, commitment, and accountability to achieve results. The lack of planning, commitment, and accountability are the three major issues currently in state government.

Since we conduct state business poorly, we achieve poor results. We need to be willing to act to achieve different results. If we aren't willing to act, then the state fails its leadership responsibility. Effective leadership is effective problem solving and requires establishing clear measurable goals, implementing plans to achieve these goals and correcting plans that fail to meet them.

I will be asking for the following changes if you send me to the State Legislature:

I appreciate the time you have spent to consider my application to be your state representative.
