I have been married to Jean for 48 years; have three grown children, eight grand children and two great grandchildren.

As your Linn County Commissioner for over seven years I have worked to provide needed programs for our residents. I have experience with budgeting to provide resources for programs in partnership with our current senators and representatives. I work well with both parties, we all serve the same residents and must work together to be successful.

We must work to provide a positive attitude for new business and industry to come to Linn and Marion Counties. We must promote economic development utilizing our enterprise zones to entice new businesses and industry. Positive examples are Lowe's Distribution Center with 500 jobs, Signal Holdings with 250, Pace Arrow with 125, Crystal Valley Decorating with 75, Peak Sun Silicon with 50, CanDoo Manufacturing, Laticrete and Lane Manufacturing and these are only a few. New business and industry improve our economy and provides job opportunities.

I have listened to the residents and would never support new taxes. Like individual households government needs to be held accountable and adjust programs with available resources.

I offer honesty, accountability, responsibility and integrity as the values I live by.

"For a reference ask the first person who knows me."

I am the most experienced candidate and would appreciate your vote.
