    Educational Background: State certified and trained in Basic, Intermediate and Advance Police and Corrections; National Sheriff's Institute Management and Executive training, over 2000 hours training in Law Enforcement; Correction and Management. Southwestern Oregon Community College

    Prior Governmental Experience: Coquille City Council; American Red Cross Board Member, Coos County Commission on Children and Families, Coquille Library Board; Humane Rights Coalition, President Myrtle Point Rotary, Coquille Lions, Leadership Coos, Board Member Oregon State Sheriffs' Association, Cub Scout Master

    I am asking for your support in electing me to the office of Coos County Commissioner, Position 3. Good local government is vital to the health and well being of our community. It is important to have an honest knowledgeable person with proven leadership skills to represent the citizens of Coos County.

    I have served as Coos County Sheriff for almost twelve years, maintaining an open door policy and have tried to run an honest and reliable office. As Commissioner I will continue to support open government and use our tax dollars wisely. Providing Public Safety, good roads, quality health, mental health, and other programs are vital to our community. I will listen to the voices of the people that elected me in making good choices and doing the right things for the right reasons. You already know my capability as an elected official and I thank you for your support as Coos County Sheriff. I hope that you will continue to support me as the next County Commissioner.
