The State must live within its means. Deborah knows that if state spending continues to increase with reckless abandon, Oregon will follow in the footsteps of California -- leading to insolvency and perpetual deficits. In order to safeguard our children’s economic future, Deborah will demand fiscal discipline from our leaders.

Deborah is devoted to improving the lives of low-income children. She knows how critical investments in our children at an early age can provide substantial benefits over the long term. Today’s students are tomorrow’s innovators, and that’s why our students must be trained for the high tech jobs that are moving to Oregon.
DEBORAH GERRITZEN = ATTITUDE AND ACCOUNTABILITY
Power corrupts. Sometimes the people we elected to represent us forget who they really work for—our families. We deserve a state representative who conducts themselves in an ethical and legal manner. Oregonians should not live in fear of losing their jobs because they criticized the state’s legislative leaders. Most of us live in Oregon to escape that kind of politics. It’s time for a change.
