Mitch led the fight for HB 2116 providing health care for 80,000 Oregon children and HB 2009 which created the Oregon Health Authority, the first steps toward reforming Oregon’s health care system.Other bills Mitch passed curbed annexation powers of Beaverton; reduced hospital-acquired infections, reduced cost of prescriptions, provided capital to stimulate Oregon emerging industries, established Oregon Patient Safety Commission, and improved Oregon’s health care system.
