Prior Governmental Experience: I have worked with the Association of Oregon Counties and the League of Oregon Cities to present the local government perspective to legislators; served on the legislative committee and a telecommunications task force for the League of Oregon Cities. in the 1980’s I was member of the Pendleton Development Commission and chair of the Pendleton Committee for a New Tax Base.
Other: In Pendleton, I have participated in Kiwanis, Toastmasters, Relay for Life, Presbyterian Church, Pendleton Swim Association, and PFLAG, and am a board member, Children’s Trust Fund of Oregon.
I was the Pendleton Chamber of Commerce “Man of the Year” for 1997 and received the Sixth Judicial District (Umatilla and Morrow Counties) professionalism award in 2004.
