I am a father, husband and Innkeeper. My wife Constance and I own and operate an historic motel on the Rogue River in Grants Pass. We moved here because we wanted to raise our daughter in a peaceful, quiet, naturally beautiful community. We feel blessed to live here. The friendliness of the people and the incredible amount of volunteer, community-oriented effort put forth by so many citizens is inspiring and refreshing. I serve on several youth and education boards and am active in service, tourism and business associations.
I am running for State Representative because I believe that we must work harder than ever to find our common ground. We all want fair taxes, accessible quality healthcare, responsible, balanced, sustainable growth, safe streets, living wage jobs, excellence in education, protection of our constitutional rights and quality of life.
My top priority is to stabilize school funding. An educated society benefits every single Oregonian: Crime is reduced, the economy stabilizes and grows, culture and arts thrive, our people are healthier and the future looks brighter. Oregon can set the standard. Our children must be nurtured, protected and educated. In all of our endeavors, human resources are the most vital and of those, children, in my opinion, are the most precious of all.
As your representative I pledge that I will listen to your concerns and work diligently with you to strengthen our economy, provide living wage jobs, protect our health and safety, support our seniors, make sure that health care and prescription drugs are available to all and that our natural world is healthy.
Democracy works when we all participate. Let's work together to guarantee a brighter future.
