This next session Chris Beck pledges to work to:

BECK ON THE ENVIRONMENT

In his first legislative session, Chris worked hard to advance environmental initiatives, and received a 100% rating from the Oregon League of Conservation voters. This next session, Chris will work for:

  • A stable source of funding to restore salmon habitat and keep our parks open.
  • Protect farm and forest lands and preserve such uniquely Oregon places as Smith Rock and Wallowa Lake.
  • No major expansions of the Metro UGB until infill strategies have demonstrated success.

BECK ON PROCESS REFORM

Representative Beck will introduce a package of democratic reforms to adapt our government to the budget, population and social realities of our times. Reforms include:

  • Revision of the current term limit law.
  • Improvements to the initiative system.
  • Establishment of annual legislative sessions.
