ROGER BEYER'S PRIORITIES

Our Children and Schools. As a former school board chairman, Roger is uniquely aware of the strengths and weaknesses of our school system. Roger remains committed and supportive of new ideas that will provide the best possible teachers and education for our children.

Keeping Government Manageable. Roger says it's time to rein in government spending and return competition to government contracts. He is a strong advocate of private property owners' rights and supports legislation that compensates property owners when government actions reduce land values. Roger supported returning the income tax kicker to tax payers and supports lower taxes.

Keeping Our Communities Safe. Roger believes we must let criminals know that their actions will result in punishment that is swift and just. Roger worked to support the will of the people when the mandatory minimum sentence initiative was challenged (Measure 11).
