PRIOR GOVERNMENTAL EXPERIENCE: Treasurer, Woodburn Downtown Association; Mayor's Advisory Committee; Woodburn Budget Committee; Chair, Woodburn Park Board.

Frank Lonergan is a family man with a long history of public service. He has demonstrated solid leadership and has made positive changes in our community. Frank's experience in government and business makes him a leader we can be proud to have as our State Representative.


Frank Lonergan knows safe communities are the cornerstone of life in Oregon. We must do more to protect seniors and combat juvenile crime. Frank will work to:

Increase penalties for assaults committed against seniors

Target financial scams that defraud senior citizens

Expand youth activities that keep kids off the streets and help them develop strong values

Increase efforts to assist troubled kids before they resort to violence.


Frank Lonergan knows we must improve our schools by raising standards and instilling discipline. Frank believes in:

Holding schools accountable for how they spend money

Improving school discipline standards

Requiring state wide proficiency standards that students must pass before rising to the next grade level.

FRANK LONERGAN: Traffic and Growth

Frank Lonergan is concerned about the problems urban growth is creating in this region, particularly the need to reduce the impact of traffic congestion. Frank will:

Work to improve weekend congestion on Highway 99

Fight for a bypass on I-5 and Highway 99.
