Education of our children is vital! We must provide adequate resources for schools while requiring accountability for spending. Our K-12 system must provide flexible and innovative ways to prepare young people for the job markets of the future.
KAREN MINNIS PRIORITIZE STATE SPENDING
We need to closely scrutinize the use of taxpayer money as well as set common sense priorities on state spending. Schools and public safety are my highest priorities. I will look diligently for ways to create better efficiencies in state government and work to eliminate duplication of services and government waste.
KAREN MINNIS HOLD CRIMINALS ACCOUNTABLE
Statistics show that one in four of us will be a victim of violent crime. It is alarming statistics such as these that motive me into public service. We must prevent weakening of the sentencing guidelines currently in place, hold repeat offenders accountable for the crimes, and provide restitution to the victims of crime.

I believe strongly in serving the needs of the community. As a legislative aide for over ten years I have helped many residents solve difficult problems with government agencies. I know how to find positive solutions for people in need.
