Prior Governmental Experience: Chemeketa Community College Board of Directors; Chair, Polk County Commission for Children and Families; Mid-Willamette Advisory Commission on Transportation; BLM Advisory Committee; Chair, Council of County Forest Trust Lands; Chair, Mid-Valley Senior Services; Mid-Valley Jobs Council Board of Directors.

Family: Married 34 years to Pam; son, Jason (32) and daughter, Amy (30); 4 grandchildren.

Community Service: Lead Commissioner on successful jail and road bond projects; Chamber of Commerce member; West Salem High School Task Force; Highway 22 Corridor Safety Committee. Mike played a key role in the construction of the Highway 99/22 interchange at Rickreall.
