Julie Rubenstein
EDUCATION, HEALTHCARE, FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
Julie believes that in order for our communities to thrive,
every Oregonian needs access to affordable health care
and a great education system.
Julie will work to:
- Control tuition costs and expand financial aid opportunities.
- Increase accountability and transparency in the health care system.
- Support veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan so they can pick up their lives where they left off.
Julie knows that if our state is going to be put back on
track we need more family wage jobs.
Julie will work to:
- Invest in worker training in growing industries to create good paying jobs.
- Expand targeted investments to attract jobs in Oregon's renewable energy and innovative technology sectors.
- Reduce tax burdens on working families and small business, instead requiring out of state corporations to pay their fair share by raising the $10 corporate minimum tax.
Julie understands that government can't work for us
it if isn't accountable to us.
Julie will work to:
- Create a smarter, more accountable and more fiscally responsible state government.
- Expand the Rainy Day fund so that the state starts saving before it starts spending.
- Streamline efficiencies through better online services in every state agency, and conduct regular audits.
"I know from her time working for me that Julie possesses great intelligence, perseverance and drive. She played a large role in helping me and others keep intact the Medford Air Tanker Base, which is invaluable in fighting fire in the region. Salem could use more leaders like Julie."
-U.S. Senator Ron Wyden
