Aggressively Tackle Our Meth Problem
Dan understands that Meth is ruining our communities. Ninety percent of property crime, including metal theft and ID theft, is directly related to Meth use. We must end the revolving door of arrest and release. Dan knows you cannot fix the problem without comprehensive drug treatment for offenders to get them clean before release.
Fuel and Food
Dan knows our dependence upon foreign oil is costing us: at the pump, at the grocery store and every other part of our lives. Oregon must be a leader in the development of new energy technologies like biofuels from wood waste. These technologies will bring many new family wage jobs to our communities.
Dan will work to control and lower tuition costs, expand financial aid opportunities, and raise academic standards in core classes: Math, English and Science. Dan knows that with investment in our educational systems we will build an educated workforce in Oregon, bringing jobs and stability to our state and local economies.

"Dan's experience and intelligent ideas for improving Oregon schools, fighting our Meth problem and implementing new energy technologies, make him the right person for the job." US Senator Ron Wyden

Dan Thackaberry: "I'm running because I genuinely care about people and want to help solve the critical issues that face our communities."
