Real Solutions to Real Problems

Schools Focused on Students
Being married to a teacher for 40 years has taught me about the challenges facing schools. More of our tax dollars need to find their way to local classrooms instead of being eaten up by administration and overhead. We should encourage investments in textbooks, technology, and teacher training and establish ways to reward teachers who deliver results in the classroom.

Protecting Family Budgets
We are all feeling pinched by rising gas and grocery prices. I will push efforts to reduce our dependence on foreign energy by promoting renewable energy and support efforts to increase domestic fuel production.

Addressing Our Health Care Crisis
We are putting a lot of money into health care, but are not getting enough health care in return. The more government tries to fix the system, the more costs rise. We need a streamlined approach to make coverage more affordable for families.

Responsible Financial Management
I will turn to front line government workers for ways to help reduce waste and support increased auditing to better focus spending – without raising taxes.

Tougher Penalties for Pedophiles
As your state representative I will continue my work to increase penalties on repeat sex offenders who prey on our children and grandchildren.
