Suzanne VanOrman

"Suzanne is exactly the person we need in Salem for House District 52. She is a proven leader who will put her district first and get results."
–Christine Chin Ryan

Focused on Helping Families
A mother who raised two teenage sons alone, Suzanne VanOrman knows what it's like to struggle. For 22 years she led the Mid-Columbia Children's Council, providing access to Head Start to hundreds of local families. In Salem, Suzanne will fight for pre-k programs to make sure all Oregon children start kindergarten ready to learn.

Focused on Standing Up for Veterans
As combat veterans come home from Iraq and Afghanistan, Suzanne knows we have to do more to give them our support. She'll work to expand programs that help veterans find housing, employment, education and training.

Focused on Healthcare for Everyone
Suzanne will make healthcare providers more accountable by requiring hospitals and insurance companies to follow consistent, fair pricing guidelines. She will also fight to keep seniors from losing their doctors when switching to Medicare.

Focused on Fair Taxes
Middle-class families take on too much of the tax burden, while big corporations pay only $10 in taxes. Suzanne VanOrman knows this isn't fair. That's why she will work to increase the corporate minimum tax to make sure our families aren't left to shoulder the burden.

"Politicians talk. Suzanne cuts through the rhetoric and
delivers. She cares deeply about our children."
